歴史はお好きですか？私は今日初めてこの曲に登場する「皇帝」が，1890年の日本訪問の際に警護の日本人巡査から攻撃されたあのニコライ２世であると知りました。
Do you like history?  Today I learned that "the Tsar" in this song was Nicholas II or Nikolai II Alexandrovich Romanov who was attacked by one of his escorting Japanese policemen during his tour in Japan in 1890.

（余談）

これまで「昔ロシアにいた絶倫の何だか怪しいヤツ」としか認知していなかったラスプーチンですが，この曲を知ったことでこういう経緯だったのかと納得しました。
