数年前友人のひとりが深夜に物を食べると太るのでもうやめると宣言しましたが，今も真夜中につまみ食いをしています。ただもっとヘルシーなものですが。
Few years ago, a friend of mine declared they would stop eating junk food in the middle of the night because it made them fat.  Now they're still snacking in the night but choosing a bit healthier option.

（余談）

私自身も「今日がその日」だと思ったことは人生において数え切れないほどありますが，振り返ってみるとその中で本当に「その日」だったことはごく僅かです。
