Northern Sky ニック・ドレイク (Nick Drake)

タイトルの「Northern Sky」は憂鬱でパッとしない主人公の人生を指すメタファーでしょう。「北」あるいは「北方」という言葉をさほど楽しくはない事に結び付けるのはNick Drakeや我々の住む北半球ではさほど難しくありません。
I think the title Northern Sky is a metaphor for the narrator's gloomy and miserable life.  In the northern hemisphere where Nick Drake and we live, it's not very hard to associate words like north and northern with something less cheerful.

しかし主人公が南半球の英語圏，例えば南アフリカやオーストラリア，ニュージーランドなどに住んでいるとすると「北の空」は太陽の輝く明るい空のはずです。
