As Time Goes By ドゥーリー・ウィルソン (Dooley Wilson)

有名過ぎて記憶が混乱する曲があります。この曲は1942年のアメリカ映画「カサブランカ」で使われており，この曲を耳にすると，必ず主人公2人が空港で別れを告げているラスト・シーンが浮かんで来ます。そのせいでこの映画を見たような気がしていたのですが実際には違いました。
Famous songs sometimes play a trick on our memory.  This song was played in an American film Casablanca (1942).  Whenever I hear it, it always conjures up the last scene in which the two protagonists are saying goodbye at the airport.  That makes me believe I have watched it before but actually I didn't.

（余談）

ピアニストという設定のDooley Wilsonですが，実際にはピアノは弾けず，ヴィデオのシーンは合成なのだとか。だったらピアノの弾ける俳優を持ってくればいいと思わないでもないのですが，逆に考えればDooley Wilsonの歌が他の役者では代えがたいほど素晴らしかったということなのかもしれません。
