この主人公が選り好みし過ぎだと思ったのは私だけでしょうか？いずれ理想の相手が見つかると確信しているようで「だからって諦めるのはまだ早い，恋なんてすぐに答えは出ないもの」という主人公ですが，人生そんなに長くないよと言ってやりたいところです。
Am I the only one who finds the narrator too choosy.  They seem to be confident enough to find someone who epitomizes their dream sooner or later.  They say, "Hold the line,
Love isn't always on time" but I'm telling you that life isn't that long.

（余談）

この曲，ヴァースだけを見ていると２通りの解釈，すなわち：

①主人公は相手に惹かれているが，自分がどこに惹かれているのかわからない
②主人公は（相手の良さはわかっているのに）相手がどうしても好きになれないが，その理由がわからない

が可能になりますが，そこにコーラスの「Hold the line, Love isn't always on time」を併せて考えると，後者すなわち「付き合っている相手のことがどうしても心から好きになれない」と考える方が自然です。
