歌詞は一体誰が書いているのか？作詞した人々でしょうか？勿論法律的かつ公式にはそうでしょう。ただ私は実際に歌詞を「書いている」のは聞き手の方だと思います。
Who writes song lyrics? Song writers? Yes, legally and officially they do. I think, however, it's we the audience that actually "writes" them.

（余談）
思うにアートというものはある意味「料理の材料」であり，それを基にどんな「料理」に仕上げるかは「聞き手という料理人」次第です。
例えばここに豚ロースの塊とキャベツ１玉があったとして，その塊を厚めに切り出して衣をつけて揚げて「トンカツ」，薄めに切り出して生姜風味の醤油ダレを絡ませて「豚の生姜焼き」で，そこに千切りキャベツを添えることもできます。
また，キャベツと豚肉を大きめに切りキャベツと一緒に鍋で煮込めば「ポトフ」，挽いてキャベツでくるめば「ロールキャベツ」そして薄切りにしてザク切りのキャベツと一緒に生地であわせて焼けば「お好み焼き」でしょう。
アートもこれと同じで全く同じ作品を与えられてもそこから何を得るかは人それぞれ違って当然です。仮に同じ「トンカツ」や「お好み焼き」を作ったとしても，どれくらいの割合にするのか，調味料はどうするのか，火加減はどうするかは少しずつ違ってくるはずで，そういう意味で言えばひとつとして同じ料理はありません。
そこでこの歌詞をどう捉えればいいのか？そのまま預言者ジェレマイアの言葉と考える人もあればドラッグによる反戦歌と取る人もあるようですが，個人的には「（ワインを）飲んで気分が大きくなって自分がスーパーヒーローになったつもりの上司」が「（仕方なく飲みに付き合わされた）部下」に絡んでいるように思えてなりません。
因みに「あつまれ！どうぶつの森」にはジェレマイアというカエルが登場するそうです。
