自虐ユーモアは素晴らしいのですがやるにはかなりの技術を要求されます。ヘタに手を出そうものなら，やっている本人がバカで惨めなヤツに見えてしまい，それゆえ周りを気まずい雰囲気にしてしまいますが，この曲は違います。聞きながら爆笑し，特に「Nicoは仕事が見つからなくて，Vinzもコカインやり過ぎて，使い物にならなくなって，今じゃこうして2人ともノルウェイに戻ってる」の箇所で大受けしました。
Self-deprecating humor is great but highly skilled one.  If you do it poorly,  it makes you look stupid and miserable and makes others feel pretty uncomfortable.  Not this song, no.  Listening to this song, I laughed so hard.  Especially, lines like "Now Nico's unemployed and Vinz's love for coke destroyed him, So now we back in Norway" broke me up.

（余談）

この展開は全く予想していませんでしたが，それはなにも私に限ったことではないと確信しております。あまりに想像の斜め上を行く展開に「誰なんだお前は！」というツッコミがエンドレスで脳内にコダマしました。

なにしろ（おそらく）現代のロサンゼルスを舞台に，鎧姿のサムライが登場し，コートジヴォワール系のNicoとガーナ系のVinzのノルウェイ出身デュオのアフリカ的リズムを感じさせる曲を背景に，いわゆる「ええ話」系のストーリーが展開するという，一体どこらへんに落としどころを持って来ればいいのかと悩む作りになっています。

このデュオはノルウェイ出身です。ノルウェイ人（この場合はデュオですが）の書いた曲が世界のチャートに載ることはあまりありませんが，この曲は非常にキャッチーで，最初に聞いた瞬間から耳に残りました。歌詞の内容は明るく前向きで「たとえ周囲に何と言われようとも，自分が正しいと思うことをしろ」というのがメッセージです。
They're from Norway.  It's not very common that a song written by a Norwegian singer (a Norwegian duo in this case) ranks on the charts worldwide.  This song is so catchy that I was completely hooked when I heard it for the first time.  The lyrics are upbeat and uplifting.  "Do whatever you believe right no matter what people around you say" is the message.

（余談）

このタイトルAm I Wrongはいわゆる「反語」であり，一応疑問文にはなっているものの，主人公本人は「これで間違いない」と確信しています。しかも「それがおかしいって言うんなら，もうおかしいままでいい，普通になんかなりたくない」と言い切るほど自分が正しいと自信をもっています。

ここまで言われると，天邪鬼な私などは，この主人公に対して，正面から反論したくなるのですが，仮にそうして「お前は間違っている」と論破したとしても，それはそれで「周りにあれこれ言われたからって，そんなことに惑わされるな」という主人公の言葉を実践しているに過ぎないわけですから，結局は主人公の言っていることが正しいということになります。

したがって，主人公の言っていることにこちらが反論できてもできなくても，最終的には主人公の言っていることが「真」となるわけですからこちらに勝ち目はありません。ある意味，言った者勝ちですね。
