Undiscovered ジェイムズ・モリソン(James Morrison)

題名が実にいい。また歌詞も、人には必ずその人なりの良さがあるのだからそれを見つけ出して敬意を払うべきであるという内容です。undiscovered（未発見）という言葉自体にdiscover（発見）されるべきという意味があって、今必要なのはまさしくこういう曲のような気がします。そこで今週は（つまり今年は）気分の良くなる曲ばかりを投稿することにしました。
余談ですが、1:55あたりのところでヴィデオに登場する男性が映画監督のダニー・ボイルに似てますが，別人なんでしょうか。　
I think the song title is awesome.  It tells us that we are not useless, nor faceless but deserve to be discovered and be respected.  The word "undiscovered" means "to deserve to be discovered".　I think what we need right now is a song like this.  So I'm going to post songs that would cheer us up and make us feel better this week.
By the way, a man in the video appearing around 1:55 looks like Danny Boyle, a film director.  Is it he?

追記：このundiscoveredという曲の入っている彼のデビューアルバムUndiscovered。ギリギリまでタイトルを考えてなかったそうで，単にJames Morrisonでいいと思ってたとか。Undiscovered自体も最初はもっとブルースっぽい曲でした。「この世にはまだ素晴らしいことが隠れてる(undiscovered)」というのがこのアルバム全体のコンセプトとか。余談ですが，デビューした時，ＣＤショップで，自分のＣＤが大好きなVan Morrisonの隣にあったのが大変嬉しかったそうです。

この曲，非常に感動的ないい曲なのですが，実は意外に和訳しにくい曲でした。というのも直訳すると大変ストーカーチックになるからです。例えば，最初の連：

直訳すると

君を見たら，君はしまったって顔をしてた
僕がどうしてここにいて，どこから来たのかわからないんだろ？
だけど僕の頭の中では2人は親しいんだよ（←怖い！アンタ誰，知らないし！）
僕たちは雨の中で太陽を探してるんだ

これをいかに不自然でない（＝怖くない）日本語にするかに非常に苦労しました。
