The title is deliberately a bit misleading. I first heard the song I instantly reckoned it's a song like She Keeps Me Warm by Mary Lambert in which the protagonist declared her love to her girlfriend.

また，この曲の歌詞に登場する「I wanna taste her lips」について言えば，以前取り上げたKacey MsgravesのFollow Your Arrowに「Kiss lots of boys, Or kiss lots of girls, If that's something you're into」という箇所が登場しますし，まだ取り上げてはいませんが，Katy PerryのI Kissed A Girlも（タイトルからして）にも同じような箇所が存在します。

こう考えると，一見挑発的(provocative)なこの曲の内容も実はそれほどは珍しくないのかもしれませんが，仮にそうだとしても，この曲が他の曲と一線を画しているのは「女性が女性に夢中になる」という比較的リベラルな文脈を，保守的な，有体に言ってしまえば「昭和あるいは演歌な（アメリカのカントリーで昭和だ演歌だというのもどうかと思いますが）」文脈に違和感なく当てはめてしまったところではないでしょうか。
