We Will Not Be Lovers ザ・ウォーターボーイズ (The Waterboys)

歌詞の中に「お前は相手を探してるけどその相手は俺じゃない （You're looking for somebody, but he isn't me）」という下りを見た時はこれは主人公の報われない思いを語っているのだと思ったのですがそうではありませんでした。
When I read the lyrics, I thought a line, "You're looking for somebody, but he isn't me" refers to the narrator's unrequited love.  Well I was wrong.
