先日恒例の健康診断に行きました。最後に結果を聞きに２週間後以降に来いと言われてふと考えました。人間は人生のどのくらいの時間を「待つ」ことに使っているのでしょうか？
The other day I went to a clinic for an annual medical check-ups.  At end I was told to come back for the result after two weeks as usual.  I was wondering how much time do we spend for waiting in our lives.

（余談）

どんな人間であっても最終的には「死」が訪れます。

無論それを「今か今かと待っている」人間は少ないでしょうし，むしろ「延期」や「キャンセル」できるものならそうしたいと思っている人が私を含めて大半ですが，ただそういう意味で言えば，人間はその一生を「（死を）待つことに捧げている」と言えるかもしれません。
