Glow マドコム (Madcom)

このヴィデオを見て感動したのがMadcomが歌っている間に世界中で繰り広げられているフラッシュ・モブの規模でした。このヴィデオは2010年のユーロヴィジョン・ソング・コンテスト決勝における幕間のショウの様子です。
What impressed me the most in this video was the scale of flash mobs occurred worldwide during the performance by Madcom.   This video is the interval act of the Eurovision Song Contest 2010.

（余談）

歌詞に登場する「be my valentine」の下りは，おそらく20年前の私なら「俺の彼女になってくれ」と迷わず訳したと思いますが，今では果たしてそう言いきっていいのかどうか迷います。また歌っているのが（少なくとも外見上は）男性であるMadcomなのでそちらに従って推定しているものの，主語が「俺」かどうかも厳密には不明です。

性別情報を伴う三人称単数形（he, she）は別にして，英語の人称代名詞には性別がなく，職業・年齢・教育レベルといった情報も伴っていませんが，これに対して日本語の人称代名詞にはこれらの情報がもれなく付随する上，英語とは比較にならないほど人称代名詞の数が多く（私，俺，僕，自分など），しかも同じ人称代名詞であっても例えば「おれ」「俺」「オレ」という表記ではそれぞれの持つ意味が微妙に異なります。

こう考えると「that's too bad」を「あれも悪い」と訳してしまった話を聞いて「え？合ってんじゃん」と迷いなく思えた中学時代の自分がひたすら懐かしくなります。
