ここでいう「迎えの馬車」とは人生最後の瞬間を表すメタファーでしょう。お迎えが来てしまったらどれほど頑張ってもイヤということはできません。
I think their 'chariot' is a metaphor for their final moment in life.  When it comes to us, no one can say no to it how hard they may try.

この主人公の言うように最後の瞬間を楽しく騒いで過ごすのはいいのですが，私の場合それじゃと別れた後に「ヤバい。あれを言っておくの忘れた・・・」ということになりそうな気がします。
